Maritime Arbitration and Legal Background
Over my 28 years as a maritime solicitor, I have gained extensive experience in handling a wide range of Charterparty and other maritime disputes.
I have also assisted in drafting clauses for use in Charterparties, both in my previous role as an FD&D lawyer and as a former member of the BIMCO and UK Chamber of Shipping Documentary Committees.
My experience places me in an ideal position to construe the effect and true meaning of contractual provisions against the relevant factual background, and to determine disputes arising out of the same in a fair, independent, and impartial manner.
I have been appointed as arbitrator in disputes arising under the LMAA Terms, Intermediate Claims, and Small Claims Procedures.
